Kerbey Lane Cafe debuts Akaushi beef and pork belly on new Fall Menu

Kerbey Lane Cafe is introducing locally-raised, internationally famous Akaushi beef with the debut of its new Fall Menu, now available at all seven locations through early 2017.

From just outside Austin in Harwood, Texas, Kerbey Lane’s new Akaushi beef comes from third generation cattle farmers at HeartBrand Ranch. The current herd, the largest in the United States, was raised from a small number of the “red cows” imported from Japan. The beef is natural-fed, hormone free, and richly marbled with tender and flavorful fat. Read more

Kerbey Lane Cafe’s ‘Cakes & Cash Drive’ to benefit Central Texas Food Bank, July 18-30

Kerbey Lane Cafe will host a “Cakes & Cash Drive” at all seven of its locations July 18-30, with all proceeds from its specialty pancakes benefitting Central Texas Food Bank.

Kerbey Lane serves three specialty pancakes each week, including one vegan and one gluten-free option. Customers will also be able to add a tax-free donation to the food bank to their check at the end of their meal (or make a cash contribution).   Read more

Kerbey Lane to celebrate 36th birthday May 5

All stores to donate net profits to United Way for Greater Austin; birthday cake pancakes on special to celebrate

In honor of Kerbey Lane Cafe’s 36th anniversary on May 5, the beloved Austin restaurant will donate 100 percent of the net profits from all seven of its locations to United Way for Greater Austin beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, May 5, and ending at 6 a.m. on May 6, 2016.

In addition, Kerbey Lane will be serving short stacks of its birthday cake pancakes for the discounted price of $1.95 (regularly $3.95). Read more
