Low-cost veterinary care is coming to northeast Philadelphia. Emancipet will open a low-cost pet health clinic on February 14 at 575 Adams Avenue. The new clinic will offer spay/neuter surgeries as well as vaccinations, microchips, monthly flea and heartworm prevention, puppy and kitten de-worming, and treatment for common conditions such as skin and ear infections. Celebrating its 22nd year, the Human Rights Campaign Austin’s annual Gala is one of the most successful in the country, raising record funding to support civil rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people. This year’s black-tie Gala will be held at the J.W. Marriott on Saturday, January 28, at 7 p.m., with approximately 700 people expected to attend. Read more
