Emancipet’s 19th anniversary luncheon May 11

Emancipet will celebrate 19 years of serving pets and their people and share the organization’s vision for the future at its annual luncheon on Friday, May 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Austin, 208 Barton Springs Rd.

More than 500 supporters, community leaders, volunteers, and philanthropists will attend the luncheon, Emancipet’s largest annual fundraising event. Tables, sponsorships, and individual tickets can be purchased online at emancipet.org/events/luncheon/. Read more

Emancipet to offer bi-weekly deals at Central Austin clinic during March

Fonda San Miguel raises funds for Emancipet to honor late Chef Miguel Ravago

Austin’s award-winning Fonda San Miguel is honoring its late chef and co-founder Miguel Ravago, who passed away earlier this year, with a giving campaign benefiting Emancipet, the non-profit on a mission to make high-quality, low-cost veterinary care accessible for all pet owners.

In addition to being an influential leader of Austin’s culinary scene, Ravago was also a big animal lover. Fonda San Miguel is inviting people to make a special gift to Emancipet in his honor at epet.convio.net/ChefRavago and will also honor Ravago with a plaque on the donor wall of Emancipet’s new soon-to-open Central Austin clinic. Emancipet offering FREE vet care for Houston pets in the wake of Hurricane Harvey

A collaboration with The HSUS and The Lewyt Trust, with support from Maddie’s Fund, will help keep pets and their people together
Emancipet, the nonprofit veterinary clinic operating in Houston’s East End, has seen a huge outpouring of support for its initiative to provide free veterinary care to Houston pets whose families were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. As a result of this generosity, and especially a significant grant from the Alex & Elisabeth Lewyt Charitable Trust and The Humane Society of the United States, and a generous grant from Maddie’s Fund®, Emancipet will be able to provide free veterinary care at it’s Houston location for three months beginning this Saturday, Sept. 9, as families get back on their feet.

Emancipet to aid pets affected by Harvey with free emergency vet services in Houston

WHAT: Emancipet will provide free emergency veterinary services for Houston pets whose owners were displaced during Hurricane Harvey, and for pets that were already in shelters when Harvey hit. These emergency services are outside of Emancipet’s normal operations, and donations are critically needed to begin purchasing additional medical supplies immediately. Emancipet offering low-cost heartworm treatment at Central Austin and Houston locations

Heartworm treatment costing 50-70 percent less than the national average of $1,000 is now available at Emancipet Central Austin and will be available at Emancipet Houston beginning in July. The typical cost of heartworm treatment is not affordable for all pet owners, sometimes resulting in pets turned in to shelters or not surviving the disease. Emancipet’s pricing ranges from $225-$495 depending on the size of the dog, and can be split into two payments. Read more
