Kerbey Lane debuts new Summer Menu

Kerbey Lane Cafe’s new Summer Menu debuted this week and is available at all seven locations through early September. The new Summer Menu will have a handful of returning seasonal favorites, plus several new and reimagined items. See the full menu here.

“Kerbey Lane Cafe releases three seasonal menus—summer, fall, and spring—each year to celebrate the flavors of the season and provide fresh, fun dishes for our guests to enjoy. We’re in a summer state of mind at Kerbey Lane right now, and beyond excited about the release of the new Summer Menu,” says Amanda Kuda, director of marketing.

One of the new star items on the Summer Menu is Chicken and Pancakes, a novel twist on the Southern comfort food staple Chicken and Waffles. The dish represents the epitome of brunch: two of Kerbey’s famous cinnamon-beignet pancakes topped with fried chicken, maple buffalo sauce, and powdered sugar.

The Summer Menu’s new Texas Mobster was named by a Kerbey Lane customer, Justin Neuman, who won the restaurant’s ‪#‎NameThatSandwich contest. The Texas Mobster features chicken fried steak topped with fresh mozzarella, pizza sauce, Parmesan cheese, red onions, lettuce, and ranch dressing.

Vegan foodies will love the new “Egg Salad” Sandwich, made with tofu “egg salad,” lettuce, avocado, tomato, and vegan hoagie bread.

The refreshing and light taste of lemon poppy perfectly captures the flavor of summer, so the new menu also features Lemon Poppy Pancakes and Lemon Poppy French Toast.

Other new and reimagined dishes on the Summer Menu include the Sweet Potato Hash, Steak Enchilada Benedict, Crab Mac and Cheese, Fried Green Tomato BLT Sliders, Turkey Reuben, and Chicken Caprese Salad.

Several crowd-pleasers from Kerbey’s Spring Menu will be making a repeat appearance on the new menu as well. Highlights include the Pulled Pork Nachos (layered tostada-style nachos), Crab Mac and Cheese Bites, Crab Mac and Cheese Benny, Kerbey Kick Start, and Greek Lamb Skewers.

Austin dog owners looking to spend more time with their canine companions this summer will be pleased to know that all of Kerbey Lane Cafe’s patios are dog-friendly. Kerbey Lane even has a fun social media campaign where guests share photos of their dogs with the hashtag #K9sofKerbey.
