NBA star Kevin Durant gives back to IDEA Rundberg

Last week NBA All-Star Kevin Durant visited IDEA Rundberg Academy and College Prep in Austin, where BBVA Compass and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation are building a $100,000 outdoor basketball court for the students as part of their “Build It and They Will Ball” charitable program. Durant brought news to the 400 IDEA students assembled in the school’s gymnasium that the court would be finished at month’s end, gave tips on how they can build their own bright future, and toured the court’s progress. Austin American-Statesman covers IDEA Austin’s plans to establish nation’s first dedicated Pre-K through 12th health professions school

More big news for our client IDEA Public Schools Austin: they will have the first K-12 health professions school not just in Texas, but in the nation.
