25th annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day to benefit Caritas of Austin

The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot celebrates its 25th anniversary this year (the same year ThunderCloud Subs turns 40)! Austin’s beloved Thanksgiving tradition has raised $2.5 million for Caritas of Austin, which helps people move out of poverty toward self-sufficiency.

ThunderCloud Subs is launching its annual competition to design artwork for the 20,000-plus T-shirts and other materials for the 25th annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot. Registration opens today for the hugely popular Thanksgiving Day tradition, which has raised more than $2.5 million for Caritas of Austin.

Artists come in many different guises, and we have more than our share of them at ThunderCloud Subs. All of our employees are sandwich artists, but we also employ a slew of other types of artists—musicians, writers, designers, painters, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers… you name it.

The team at the ThunderCloud store in New Braunfels is one of our most artistic and multi-talented ThunderCrews. Four gifted artists are part of the crew there: Johnny Duncan, Jay Rickard, Heather Jones, and Ria Kolsar.
